2005 OCTOBER WORK DAY

A work day was held on Sunday, October 25 to work on the section of trail that begins after the Windsor Street crossing. With a few motivated and energetic workers and the right equipment, our efforts paid off with big results! The task at hand was to fill in some big ruts that had been created in the trail due to ATV's. The ruts then became big puddles and the section of trail was frequently soft and muddy.

Thanks to Wayne Smith and his handy equipment it made our job much easier!

And thanks to a grant from Modern Woodmen of America, it paid for the gravel and other expenses.

At the end of a long day, a large section of trail had been smoothed out and another section was filled in and cleared to make way for a new bridge that will someday span the stream, several yard in from Windsor Street.
